This video is making me seriously consider being a vegetarian. It's a video of Sarah Palin being interviewed while turkeys are being slaughtered in the background. You can read the story without watching the video. I got it off of Huffington Post. It's absolutely incredible and the turkeys are obviously suffering. It's horrible.

I can't watch it. Sarah Palin and people like her do not value life unless it is human life. She shoots animals from helicopters!
I say give her a pocket knife and put her in an area with polar bears. See how she does then.

And, yes, it does make one want to go vegetarian.

By the way, when I come back from Vipassana, where the serve only vegetarian food, I'm going to give vegetarianism a good try again. If I do eat meat, it's going to be from Lassen's where I know the meat came from animals that were treated okay up until they became food for me.
Life lives on life. We can't get away from that -- but we can appreciate the sacrifice, have compassion for the animals that feed us, and treat them better.
